Himalayan Yoga / Breathwork

My yoga journey began as a way to mend my broken body after the strain of years in professional sport. As a Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist, I understand importance of muscle length for building strength and realised stretching alone wasn’t enough. My love for the mountains led me to the Indian Himalayas to learn yoga at its source. It was here I learnt that yoga goes beyond the mat and infuses all aspects of life, opening the mind and heart to the brilliance of being.

The yoga classes I offer include Kriya, a practice which awakens and transforms the body and mind to create profound physical and mental shifts. It helps injuries at a cellular level by generating heat from the inside out. We’ll use powerful breath work combined with guided movement and music to calm the nervous system and energise the body.

Kriya yoga is a powerful workout that connects body, mind and energy, helping you build strength, focus, and resilience. I’d love for you to join me on your mat and allow me to guide you through this transformative practice.

Classes are held at Soul Barns in Mortimer Common – a serene studio equipped with underfloor heating, air conditioning and a Sonos surround sound system.

“I believe Kriya yoga has increased my flexibility, reduced stress and created a deeper connection to myself. Rachel creates a supportive environment perfect for my learning of this practice as it is both invigorating and restorative. It's a rejuvenating experience for both my body and mind through a beautiful blend of breathwork meditation and yoga. Highly recommend.”

“The first act of courage is not to be fearless, but rather to acknowledge there is fear. Instead of denying it and running away from it. Move toward it. Go deep into it and transcend it.”
